AMMAF was created in 2012 by a group of combat sports community who took the initiative.
AMMAF is registered by a Court decision and is legally recognized by the Ministry of Sports in our country.
In 2014, AMMAF became a full participating member of the IMMAF World Federation and two years later in 2016 a full member of IMMAF.

The IMMAF family continues to build MMA as an amateur sport. Hosting the World Championship makes us a direct contributor.

He was born on 12.03.1982, in Aranitas of Mallakastra, in a simple family with patriotic traditions. Combat sports have attracted and inspired him from an early age. The passion and desire for this type of sport led him to follow the military profession, to serve later in the “FA”, with the “Commando” and “Special Forces” Troops of the Albanian Army during the years 2001-2019. The dedication, piety, responsibility and correctness of Rizaj during his service in the FA has been highly appreciated by the leaders, for the fulfillment of tasks and missions both inside and outside the country, thus gaining their special trust and considering him as a valuable asset for training and martial arts. He is currently a soldier with the rank of Deputy Commissioner in the Guard of the Republic, also in command at the Security Academy as a Police Tactics Instructor.
